Jason R. Toussaint

Managing Director

Jason leads the Asia Pacific region and wealth management sector globally for Emergent™ Technology. Based in Singapore, Jason is developing the Responsible Gold supply chain ecosystem and commercialization strategies for key business segments.

Jason is co-founder and managing partner of Hard Asset Partners, an alternative investments platform providing physical gold investment to the United States Individual Retirement Account (IRA) market. He has extensive gold industry experience and was previously CEO of the SPDR Gold Shares (GLD) Electronic Transfer Funds (ETF), where he led the growth in assets to more than $77 billion. He was also managing director and Global Head of Investment at the World Gold Council. Before he founded Hard Asset Partners, Jason was president of New York Private Bank & Trust Precious Metals, a subsidiary of Emigrant Bank.

Jason has more than 20 years of experience in the investment industry with a focus on portfolio management, quantitative strategy and business development. He has extensive international experience and has built businesses in Asia, Europe and the Middle East. He was previously senior vice president of Northern Trust Global Investments in London and Head of Asia for Morgan Stanley Capital International in Hong Kong. Earlier in his career, Jason was a fixed income portfolio manager at JP Morgan Asset Management in New York.

Jason earned a master of business administration from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business and a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering from Worcester Polytechnic Institute.
